1. Punching and shearing noise: The noise varies greatly depending on the stamping process. Sheet metal blanking is more noisy than bending and deep drawing, while forming processes such as embossing, wave pressing, flanging, bending, and deep drawing have less noise.

2. Torsion noise: The torsion noise of the same type of punch is related to the plate thickness, hardness, geometry, hammer speed, die clearance and other factors of the stamping parts, and the noise increases with the increase of these magnitudes. When the punch press is working, the impact of the punch and the sheet and the unloading plate and the blank is greatly enhanced, and the impact sound also increases with the increase of the impact speed. The impact noise and the subsequent material fracture sound can be measured separately. Measurement methods have been put into practice. On the same punching machine, punching thick and hard materials is more noisy than punching thin and soft materials. For thick ductile sheets, the impact noise is as large as the breaking noise.

The punching machine runs abnormally or has abnormal noises, such as batter sound and popping sound.
